Interactive Design Director

What We Need
We are seeking an Interactive Design Director based in our Minneapolis and Atlanta offices, to develop world-class online creative concepts including but not limited to websites, banners, e-mail and motion/animation-based elements.
What You'll Do
- The Interactive Design Director will understand requirements, interpret creative briefs/wireframes and documents, and translate into visually attractive designs that leverage the full extent of the medium by:
- Ensuring fresh thinking, strong relationships and award-winning work
- Acting as a lead designer on assigned projects and client brands
- Delivering effective and well-planned presentations at all client meetings
- Working collaboratively with the entire project team – other creatives, project/account management, strategists and media resources – to concept and complete online creative elements
- Participating in user experience testing as required
- Coordinating and communicating technical requirements and/or dependencies
- Presenting creative concepts and rationale effectively and persuasively
- Providing mentorship and oversight to less senior design staff
What You'll Need
- Minimum 5-7+ years experience working in interaction/interface design
- BA/BS or BFA/MFA degree in interaction design, human factors, graphic design, or related experience with advertising or design agency experience
- Proven ability to design for different kinds of interactive media and application types – static web sites, CD-ROM, DVD, mobile, email newsletters, e-commerce sites with dynamic content and/or content management systems
- Strong conceptual abilities and attention to detail
- Self-directed, responsible, and able to meet deadline and budget requirements
- Strong typography and foundational design skills, composition, color
- Integrate interactive design work as part of larger online/offline campaigns
- Ability to work within or establish brand look/feel
- Proficiency in Adobe CS Suite, Flash, Actionscript, Dreamweaver, MS Office
- Knowledge/familiarity with web development environments, including XHMTL/CSS-P, and ability to design appropriately for their related benefits and constraints
- Proficient on both Mac OS and Windows operating systems
- Achieved industry recognition or won awards for work on awards for work
